Fractal geometry is the discipline of the study of irregular geometry patterns. Since the 1980s, fractal geometry is becoming the hot spots field of computer graphics research.Natural simulation is the cutting-edge issues of computer graphics application, and plant modeling is one of the most important one of the areas. Nature has complex shape and fine structure, and it is difficult to use traditional European geometric to describe. Fractal geometry uses the self-similarity of nature to model the nature entity through a variety of fractal modeling. Nature simulation has a very wide range of applications in the computer simulation modeling, television, computer games etc. This issue builds the model of three-dimensional flowers based on fractal technology and the natural plant morphology in Visual C++ and OpenGL opening graphics library. In the plant morphology, the arrangement of the petals and sepals or slivers in the flower bud will be valvate, contorted or imbricate. The anthor carried out the observation the of the form structure of lotus flower, chrysanthemum and rose of the combination of plant morphology and fractal graphics technology. The results showed that the longitudinal curve of petals is self-similarity as well as the petals and petal layers。The method generates the 3d petals and 3d flowers based on a second curve. According to the results of observation and a lot of mathematical experiments, the author gave the 3D IFS code of rose, lotus and Chrysanthemum flower petals and flowers. Drawing flowers form round appearance, high realism, in the OpenGL environment, the use of a variety of mature light, texture enhancing the realism, can be applied to the virtual scene of the flower structure.
