Design And Implementation Of Online Course Elect System Based On B/S Structure

With the development of universities' teaching system reform and quick modernization of teaching management, electing courses on network becomes very important in the modernization program of teaching management.According to the current technologies of elective system based on network,I adopt to develop this system by B/S Architecture, Windows 2003 Server as Server's OS,IIS5.0 as WEB Server, Microsoft SQL Server 2000 as Database Server,and ASP as programming language. All of these technologies are detailed in this paper.Elective algorithm is the key of elective system. To guarantee fair results, high efficiency and secure system, it's very necessary to design a set of reasonable elective algorithms. The fairness algorithm is proposed and realized in this paper. Fairness Algorithm and realized it in this paper, which can guarantee the results' fairness, the system's security and practicality in the situation of large number of students, curriculum complex, and long-term periods of elective.In accordance with the function, the elective system can be divided into four modules:Students' Module, Teachers' Module, Managers' Module, and Public Inquiry Module. The structures, functions, and the technologies of the four modules have been described respectively.Through this research, the typical problems of the public elective system are solved. And this system not only can improve the quality and efficiency of the management of high school, but also can promote the research and application of the computer in teaching management. All of these can improve the quality of elective management,and make the teaching management scientific and standardized.
