With the development and upgrade of the internet,the shortcomings of IPv4 is more apparent.For example,short of address space,poor mobility,poor security,etc. Therefore, IPv6 Internet Protocol has been developed rapidly. With the construction and development of the IPv6 network,on which the network management needs is more intensive.SNMP(Simple Network Management Protocol)is developed rapidly,now it's the dominant of network management.To discuss network management based SNMP in IPv6 has composed value of theory and application.In this article, the development of the IPv6 network management has been introduced firstly. The questions of the network management in IPv6 are also probed, mainly include acquisition target in IPv6 and the questions because of the IPv6 new feature.After that,the IPv6 network management protocol and SNMP(Simple Network management Protocol) are overall exhibited. Then the author integrated designs a transitionary management system for next generation internet, from the functional framework and architecture point of view.Finally, the author implements a transitionary network management system based on B/S framework,which integrates the construction projects of IPv6 CPN.By means of SNMP,the system gains the IPv6 MIB information of network equipment,which also draws the graphical interface of equipment through RRDTOOL instrument.
