Design Of Hotel Self-service System Based On Guest Room IC Card

With the development of science and economy, the self-service demands of people are changing unceasingly. Aiming at the hotel which is a special application environment, this article designed the self-service system based on guest room IC card in order to meet guests' fashionable shopping needs.Based on the thorough analysis of the hotel which is a special application environment, the article designed the whole structure of the self-service system based on guest room IC card, and designed separately the self-service system software, the guest room IC card's storage of information related to shopping and the remote communication protocol between PC and the vending machine.Firstly, compared to the analysis of several kinds of network communication options, the article constructed the network architecture based on RS485 in order to realize the network management between PC and the vending machine. Besides, it designed the interface of the reading card module of the vending machine. Because the reading card module only provides the interface of RS232, and the vending machine controller connects with the peripheral equipments through MDB bus, the article designed the transformation interface to complete the conversion between the protocols.Secondly, in view of the system's requirements, by using C/S pattern, the article designed and realized the self-service system software, whose task is completing the statistical management of relative information, sending the polling message and receiving the exchange records of the vending machine.Thirdly, through the study and analysis of the guest room IC card's function composition and memory structure, the article realized the storage of information related to shopping such as card number, user amount and so on. Besides, it designed the reading card process between the reading card module of the vending machine and the guest room IC card which satisfied the self-service shopping demands of guests through guest room IC card.Finally, with regard to the characteristic of RS485 bus, the article designed the communication protocol between PC and the vending machine, and realized the remote communication of exchange records related to shopping between them.This design expanded the function of the hotel's guest room IC card which made the card have multipurpose, met the fashionable needs of guests, enhanced the hotel's image and strengthened its competitive power. Moreover, the intellectualized system platform realized the network management of the vending machines and its selling commodity which met the commercial informationization needs. Therefore, this design has very high application value and popularization value.
