As the number of ontologies keeps growing, ontology sharing and reuse become urgent problems. Mapping between different ontologies is the key to solve the problems of ontology communication and interoperation.Firstly, the research background of this topic is introduced. The research hot spot of ontology mapping and future development is also presented.Secondly, aiming at solving the problem of the traditional method based on grass-roots alignment do not distinguish "equal to" and "similar to" relations, the new relations between grass-roots alignment is proposed under precise consideration which can include "equal to" into processing. A new "similar to" relation is also constructed. The new inducing method highlights effect from different grass-roots alignment to class hierarchy knowledge and improves knowledge structure.Thirdly, the new contradictory knowledge deleting rule is designed because of traditional forward-chain rules doesn't fully consider contradictory knowledge types. And a rule for deleting redundant knowledge which exists in our experiment is also designed. The revised inference rules sufficiently use realistic form of expression, semantic meanings and interrelationship with class hierarchy knowledge, while overcoming the shortages of traditional method. Finally, GRAOM+ has been designed and implemented according to the works above. Experiment result in OAEI tests shows that this system can improve the precision while maintaining recall which means GRAOM+ can get a better mapping result than traditional method.
