CRBT service could enable the caller to hear a piece of music, instead of the old-fashioned ring-back tone, while waiting for the callee to answer the call. This service has an important feature that enables users to manage their own service data, subscribe rings, and modify the rules of the service.Since the CRBT was introduced into the domestic market in 2003 by CMCC(China Mobile Communications Corporation), this service had a high increase rate, and the market penetration rate is believed to be more than 20%. With the gradual increase on the demand of CRBT functionality, the defects of original CRBT service management system are gradually revealed, such as IVR, SMS and Web. Each of these three access means has its independent development of service logic, and piecemeal architecture causes additional software redundancy and efforts on its functional development and maintenance. This paper further analyzed our current CRBT service management system, and especially the problems related to service development and system maintenance. With the rapid development in CRBT service, performance has become the major problem for CRBT service's future deployment. Therefore, based on those problems given above, we discussed several ways on how to optimize our current CRBT service management system. Furthermore, we also put the detailed system design and implementation in this paper. By using performance testing, we could eventually prove that our optimization is both valid and efficient. The first chapter summarizes the colorful ring back tone service. The service implementation in IIP is addressed and the former CRBT service management system is analyzed, including the former system's overall architecture and each service access sub system. Those different service access sub system are the web service access sub system, IVR service access system and SMS short message service access sub system. The second chapter analyzes the disadvantages of original CRBT service management system. Then it lists two points where our former CRBT service management system needs to optimize or improve. The first point is related to new service development and maintenance. The second point is about system performance. We also use the practical operation data to define the major problems existing in former system. Beyond that, we proposed the rules of system optimization. At the end, we summarize the further research on the strategies and technologies, which we need to optimize our current CRBT service management system. Based on the conclusion we get, we finally defines the optimization strategy for our CRBT service management system. The third chapter is primary part of this paper. Based on the conclusion given by chapter two, we proposed the detailed system design and implementation strategy, including every sub system or module and their application. First, we give the overall design of system architecture, which redefines our CRBT service management system architecture. Next, according to the needs or requirements of system performance, we give the detailed design and implementation of our system, including service access processing and CRBT data operation. In the forth chapter, we proposed the detailed system testing plan for performance. Newly built system has been tested. With those performance test data, we carefully analyze it and its relevance. Though our test was done in laboratory, its efficiency elevation was presented. In the future, we still need to put more research on commercial use and deployment.
