Through introduction of R4 Soft-Switch Network Architecture, Mc Interface, Nc Interface and Nb Interface and their corresponding H.248 Protocol, BICC Protocol and RIP Protocol were newly added.In this paper, we analyze the technical features of Soft-Switch System, the comparison of Soft-Switch System and Traditional Switch System on equipment capacity, power dissipation, service supporting ability, operation cost, Maintenance, and the previous network status of GSM of Shanxi Unicom. We will carry on planning and deployment of the Soft-Switch Network System Construction of Shanxi United Telecommunications Corporation, also a preliminary discussion is made on the Maintenance and Management of Soft-Switch System.Combined with practical network capacity of Shanxi Unicom, we analyzed the netting mode of backbone toll network and provincial network and determined the initial construction Principle. Then we made the holistic planning and deployment on introducing Soft-Switch Network.
