The Planning And Construction Of Soft-Switch Gateway For Liaocheng China Unicom

With the development of society and economy and the emergence of new technologies, the integration of former China Unicom and former Telecom makes China Unicom enter the era of multifaceted development in different business. With mobile phones widely used, interworking operations between the mobile users are growing rapidly. Because the traditional mobile Gateway TDM bearer, the mobile of bearing and control together is unable to meet the needs of the existing network, the need for timely layout and build the gateway which is on the basis of soft-switch structure is urgent to meet the demands of mobile users for communication and the needs to weaken cutover the existing GateWayoThe soft-switch exchange gateway office, namely GateWay MSC (generally referred as GMSCS), plays an important part in interconnection. In the entire GSM/WCDMA mobile network, exchange gateway office takes the responsibility to connect with other mobile operators and transfer the calls of different networks. This paper mainly studies how to design and construct a GMSCS to replace the traditional TDM switching gateway office in Liaocheng’s China Unicom mobile network.In this essay, the system and basic theories of soft-switch are stated firstly, including the interconnected plan between soft-switch network and internal network、external network、same or different network. Based on the above-mentioned theories and the entire core network of Liaocheng China Unicom branch, soft-switch gateway’s role, planning and construction are discussed considering the network of Liaocheng Unicom and the growing trend of telecommunication services. Then the construction of Liaocheng soft-switch gateway is taken as an example to explain the development experience of liaocheng Mobile Gateway, expound the concerned contents such as device configuration, network mode, signaling routes,webmaster, relay, signaling links and disaster recovery. In the last part, service configuration and business validation are discussed in combination with the implementation of this project, and the key realization process of soft-switch is analyzed in details.Currently newly-built soft-switch gateway has been commercially viable. The structure of liaocheng local core network will be more reasonable, and the support ability in services will be enhanced, all of which will lay a solid foundation for the interconnection work。...
