W-Adhoc is short for wide area Adhoc network. The communication distance between two nodes is always 100nm~300nm(1nm=1.825km), and it covers an area of 300nm~500nm.W-Adhoc is a fast-speed,dynamic,and time-bounded Adhoc network, and it has the flexibility and ability of real-time networktopology reconstruction. The W-Adhoc network structure research is divided into 4 layers, physics layer, link layer, network layer and application layer. In the W-Adhoc network project, I was in charge of the reseach work on the physics layer and network layer successively, focused on the routing protocol of the network layer based on the W-Adhoc scene, and did the simulation to test the analysis results under the NS2 scene. This paper comprises of six chapters according to my working experience. The first chapter briefly introduces the background of this project and the architecture of this paper. The second chapter is the analysis of the W-Adhoc network scene, including 3 aspects, the practical application of W-Adhoc network, the character of the scene, and the main facing issues of the routing protocol design under this scene. The third chapter do a brief review of the Adhoc network routing protocol, and mainly introduces the unicast routing protocol and multicat routing protocol. The fourth chapter makes a detailed exposition of the chosed ODMRP routing protocol under the W-Adhoc scene, from the aspects of the key technology concepts, data structures, flow chart of this algorithm. The fifth chapter carries out the W-Adhoc scene abstract modeling, and does the simulations and analysis under the NS2 environment. And the last chapter summarizes this project and puts forward some unsolved questions.
