The Design And Implementation Of Host Performance Management Framework Based On System Call Library

With the expansion and improvement of the information technology developing, information services has become a very important part of the modern industrial system. The management of information services has also become an important factor of the modern industrial development. Hosts are the carrying body of information service, managing hosts effectively has become very inevitable. Host performance management is a critical part of host management. The continuous expansion of the network size, as well as the improvement of the requirement of performance management, put new demands to the hosts performance management. The research of performance management framework with high Real-time , wide range of management and strong Scalability has been an important issue in the field of network management.For the problems of existing performance acquisition mode this paper proposes a acquisition mode based on the system call library, and gives the host performance management framework based on this acquisition mode, to make it compatible with the requirement of good flexibility, wide range of management and high management efficiency. This paper have studied the following key issues and given the solution:1) Implementation of acquisition mode : through the JNI interface designing and implementation of the local system call library, to complete the performance data acquisition .2) Implementation of the communication interface between the server-side and the host-side: To construct a mechanism based on the RMI remote communication interface for the distributed management. 3) Implementation of management service based on this acquisition mode: through a specific examples of network management service based on this management framework, this paper described the application of this management framework.On the base of the research and the solution given of the key issues listed above, this paper gives out the Java implement of the host performance management framework based on system call library, and has successfully applied this implement in a large IT network integrated management platform project, and obtains favorable impacts.
