With the size and complexity of the software increasing, and the increasingly frequent of the new release, the traditional manual testing has been unable to fully meet the needs of the testing system. The simple automated testing manner of recording and playback doesn't help the maintenance of automated testing scripts, and has high costs. Therefore, it is necessary to develop an automated testing framework for testing system. Based on the framework, you can easily develop the script for testing system, configure testcases, and improve the maintenance of automated testing scripts. This paper, firstly, makes mention of the current situation of the software testing industry, and introduces the characteristics of the automated testing and the conditions of importing automated testing. Secondly, it has a brief introduction about the related technology of the automated regression testing. At last, Specific to the actual project, it talks about the automated testing needs of the AsiaInfo OpenBoss(Open Business Operation Support System) system, the automated testing design of AIGA(AsiaInfo GUI AutotestSuite), and the concrete realization of AIGA in OpenBoss system. This paper can reflect the overall design concept of AIGA. In order to improve the maintenance of testing scripts, save maintenance costs, and facilitate the testing product's using, it adopts a three-layer separate mechanism of the testing script function: basic public function, business public functiong, and business module function are separated. And AIGA aimed at this kind of realization: testing data, business logic and script function should be independent.
