At present, the research of B3G mobile communication system is one of hotspots in the field of communicaion. In order to provide higher data rates, various research institutes concider MIMO technology as a core technology. From the current technology development, MIMO wireless communication system is an effective method to increase the spectrum efficiency. MIMO is fully develop the space resouces, it is likely to get high speed and larege capacity in the limited spectrum by the use of multiple antennas which can obtain high spectrum efficiency. In the current study of next generaion wireless communnicaion systems, MIMO is indispensable key technology. The research of MIMO technology is based on the channel model, therefore, an MIMO channel simulation model in line with the actual enviroment is essential.In this paper, there are two MIMO channel modeling method. One is correlation-based MIMO channel model. First, the simulation steps of this model are given. Then, this dissertation introduces the flows of the generation of Rayleigh fading channels and the antenna correlation matrix. At last the simulation result of channel space characteristics and channel capacity are discussed. Another one is ray-based MIMO channel model. First, the simulation steps of this model are given. Then, the flows of the determination of channel parameters and the formula to calculate the channel coefficients are discussed ; In addition, the paper also introduced the expansion mode. Finally some simulation results are analysed.Besides, the correlaion-based model is used in the LTE link level simulaion. Some BLER and throughput curves are analysised in this article. The results shows that the numble of paths, the speed of MS, correlaion and the numble of antennas will affect the performance of the system.
