Research On Reliability Of Information System Operation And Its Key Technologies

With increasing maturity of enterprise information, experts from both school and enterprise have pointed out an important issue that the differences of application result of information system(IS) do not only depend on the advancement and practicability of technology, but even more result from the level of IS operation and reliability of IS operation with high quality. So, reliability is an important index for the level of IS operation. Moreover, improvement of IS operation process establish on the basis of its quantitative measurement for enterprise. But we still lack of a good way to evaluate it. Therefore, in order to master status of IS operation and find out its weakness, it is very necessary to research on reliability of IS operation.Firstly, concept of IS operation is defined, and IS process architecture and its function are analyzed. Then IS operation process is analyzed. On this basis, mixing with definition of reliability, and according to process view, an innovative notion of IS operation reliability is proposed. Furthermore, all kind of factors that affect IS operation process reliability are analyzed.Moreover, from perspective of structure, the function of IS operation is decomposed. According to the reliability forecasting methods of hardware, software and human, the reliabilities of basic incident are obtained. Then, the IS operation reliability is solved by applying FTA. From perspective of the process, the active network model of IS operation process is established and changed into Petri net model. Applications of ExSpect software, the IS operation process model is established and simulated.Finally, the integrated using of theory research on reliability of IS operation process, taking an enterprise IS operation process as an example, its fault tree analysis (FTA) model is constructed and analyzed in detail. Moreover, the process is simulated and the reliability is obtained. And improvements of IS operation process are given. Through continuous improvement, maturity of enterprises informatization is constantly increasing.The research result indicates that modeling and simulation technology of IS operation not only provide a method to quantitatively evaluate the level of the process, but also find out the weakness simply and rapidly. It provides theoretical foundation for enterprise's continuous improvement. And it also lays a foundation for successful implementation of enterprise information.
