With the rapid development of computer technology, network technology, communication technology and control technology, highway tunnel monitoring technology has been widely applied. The Highway Tunnel Monitoring System can form a reasonable control scheme and take appropriate control measures to ensure traffic safety in tunnel, by real-time collecting, analyzing and dealing with the tunnel traffic information.The requirements, the design, and the implementation of the Wankai Highway Tunnel Monitoring System are done in detail in this thesis.Firstly, the thesis introduced the development overview of the Highway Tunnel Monitoring System, expected to have a whole recognition and understanding of the Highway Tunnel Monitoring System.The key technologies that are used in the Wankai Tunnel Monitoring System are introduced such as the multi-threaded and socket, including the concept of multi-threading, synchronization of threads, socket type, the communication process of sockets, and the control structure of the tunnel monitoring system. The overall functional requirements of the Wankai Highway Tunnel Monitoring System, the functional requirements of the subsystems of the Wankai Highway Tunnel Monitoring System are descripted in detail, based on the actual situation analysis of the Wankai Tunnel Monitoring System. Secondly, the detailed analysis and design of the Fire Monitoring System are carried out in this thesis, which includes communications between the Fire Monitoring System and the related hosts, and data processing of the Fire Monitoring System. The linkage between the Tunnel Monitoring System and other subsystems is designed, and the system security and database design are described in this thesis.Finally, the implementation process of the Fire Monitoring System is described in detail in this thesis, which includes the communication module between the Fire Monitoring System and the Tunnel Monitoring System, the communication module between the Fire Monitoring System and the Fire Alarm Host, and data processing module of the Fire Monitoring System. The process of the concrete implementation of the linkage between the Tunnel Monitoring System and the Fire Monitoring System is described. My work is summarized and further work needs to be done in future is proposed in this thesis.
