The rapid development of the Internet technology brings great convenience to us. But at the same time it also brings security certification and other problems. Suffering form an unprecedented crisis of confidence, the virtual network society need urgently the identification certification of the agents who communicate with us. At present, IP address, Autonomous System number or host name are all concepts at logic levels in the Internet. They don't contain the information of geographical position. The strict definition of IP address according to IPv4 protocol and the clear assignment of IP segment by IANA (Internet Assigned Numbers Authority) improves the network identification authentication using the geographic mapping technology of network agent to a certain extent.This paper presents a new network agent geographic mapping solution based on network traffic capture and analysis. Having analyzed the characteristics of existing network agent geographic mapping technology deeply, we have done the following works.1. Designing the scheme of network traffic capture and parsing implementation of network traffic capture we take use of Jpcap develop bag and adopting Object-oriented method based on the packaging theory of TCP/IP protocol to parse.2. According to the characteristics of mapping between IP address and geographical entity, we introduce the concept of IP Number and design IPMapping database.3. Analyzing MapXtreme for Java, we have done the revealing and marking on the picture of entity's geographical position making use of MapJ package.Research on raised problems we have designed and implemented the software of network entity geographic mapping - IPMapping. It parses the captured network package using Jpcap develop bag to get the network agent's IP address and then obtains the entity's geographical position querying the database, showing in graphical approach.This work provides network data security guarantee and solves the identity verification of internal proprietary network in some extent.
