With the rapid development of network technology and a variety of network services usage, the demand of the users for network resources is increasing. Network has become an essential tool for life. At the same time, people on the network performance requirements are increasingly high. In general the factors affecting network performance, Network flow is one of the most important factors. Monitoring network traffic collection is a very good means that we understand network performance and behavior characteristics, and improve network efficiency and effective means.Paper first described the concept of monitoring network traffic collection, purpose and meaning. then on the network traffic collection technology in-depth study, Sniffer technology described in detail and analysis of three classic protocol technology. According to the need for monitoring network traffic capture, this subject in the comparison on the basis of various development tools, take use of Jpcap expansion pack and JAVA development platform designed collection of network traffic monitoring system. System consists of procedures to initialize the module, packet capture module, packet analysis module and network traffic statistics information graphics module. System functions include: network packet capture, protocol analysis, information back-up records, network anomaly flow alarm and real-time network monitoring and management. Finally in the network operating system to Test system meets the design requirements. This subject uses the AWT and SWING Technology in the JAVA language, including JsplitPane class, Jtree class and Jtable class, also use the mouse monitor technology, to table in the control interface to add dynamic real-time packet capture. Protocol analysis is divided into general traffic, the network layer and transport layer and application layer protocol analysis of four levels of, real-time traffic analysis results using linear graph, pie charts and tables of three output modes.
