Research And Implementation Of Data Survivability Key Technology Based On RS Algorithm

After the 911 accident, data storage has becomed more and more critical. People's lights focus on the availability of the data. So the storage technology based on data-survivable comes into being just the time. The data-survivability has been researched back on the 863 project. A prototype of serve roaming system has been built in the project. The system's defects in storage layer were low-expansibility low-reliability and low-availability, etc. A storage system with high survivability has been built by integrating the RS algorithm and the soft-raid based on network in order to solve the questions. The primary work of this paper included four aspect.(1) The definition, characteristics and development has been analyzed in detail. The definition of the data-survivable has been researched based on the need in storage field. For providing the theory guidance in building the data-survivable storage system, the technology foundation in data-survivablity has been introduced.(2) The frame of the soft-raid based on network has been adopted. This frame can adapt the characteristics of the serve roaming system. This frame considered the principium, characteristics,main configurations and data-survivability of the raid and soft-raid based on network technology.(3) A RS algorithm based on the Vandermonde matrix has been designed and implemented. After researching the basic principium and the implement method of the algorithm, the implement of the algorithm has been adjusted based on the characteristic of the soft RAID. The adjust adapted the algorithm to the storage system and exerted the algorithm's performance.(4) A high-survivable storage system by integrating the RS algorithm and the soft-raid technology based on network has been put forward. In this paper, the key modules and performance of the system has been introduced and analyzed detailly. The implement process of the survivable storage system prototype has been introduced detailly. After the test of the system, the result proved the system's high data-survivability. The system has achieved the design target and accorded the need of the serve roaming system according the test result.The survivable storage system that implemented in the paper has high data-survivability because it can still recovery the data even more than one node was destroyed. So the storage system can be deployed in the roaming system.
