With the development of the direct sight telescope in the chariot commander system, the azimuth angle of the target need to be measured accurately and the data is transferred to the artillery control system through the control area network (CAN) fieldbus for an accurate shoot. Because it often worked in different environment, it is necessary to use the suitable sensor and communication technique.Resolver is a kind of sensor used to measure the rotated angle of the revolving object. It has very high degree of accuracy, good performance and dependability. It is more suitable than the other angle sensor in this system .The AD2S80AAD is an resolver-to-digital converter (RDC) which has very high accuracy, it constitute of the system which has very high dependability.The SJA1000 is a CAN (Control Area NetWork ) controller which completely supports the latest edition CAN2. OA/B correspondence agreement, has the advanced characteristic and specially suited for the system, can complete all functions of the physical layer and data stream layer of the CAN bus.The transceiver PCA82C251 is the ideal interface to connect the CAN controller and physical bus, and it supports 110 CAN nodes.The single chip microcomputer AT89S52 is widely used in various field because of the high capability. It can provide a flexible and effective solution to many Embeded Control system.This paper discussed the principle of angle measurement with the resolver, intruducing the application of the circuit component discussed above, the hardware and software design of the measure and communications system.
