Although Fieldbus technology is a hot topic in automation technology, several common fieldbus protocols are only provided by some world-class manufacturers. CAN bus is regarded as one of the most promising fieldbus,with CANopen and DeviceNet by foreign companies in application layer protocol. And the fieldbus iCAN protocol by Zhi Yuan Electronic Company is popular for its characteristics of convenience and concision, especially for the users at home. In order to popularize the fiedlbus application which conceives the national independent intellectual property in the fieldbus teaching, we need to offer a lab teaching system which are perfect in function and highly intergrated and based on fieldbus iCAN protocol for our students. Accordingly, this study constructs the intergrated testing system based on fieldbus iCAN protocol, for the purpose of matering the related information of fieldbus iCAN protocol in terms of this intergrated system, and setting a good foundation for the future job.This study firstly introduces the background information, the purpose and the significance of the study, and also detailedly presents some interrelated information about fieldbus technology and CAN bus, iCAN protocol introduction included. The intergrated testing system based on fieldbus iCAN protocol consists of two parts, the basic system and the extended system. The basic testing system is formed in terms of the iCAN function module by Zhi Yuan, facing the basic standard experimental equipment; while the extended testing system can implement the interlink between iCAN network and other controlling networks, such as the interlink of PLC network, and realize the communication of the iCAN bus and upper computer in terms of CANET-100 converter, facing the intergrated design of the testing system. The design of monitoring and control software for upper computer of the testing system is achieved by the industry configuration software MCGS. The interaction of MCGS and bus data is complemented by OPC. And the data transmitting between iCAN network and MCGS is carried out in terms of OPC. On the basis of the accomplishment of the intergrated testing system based on fieldbus iCAN protocol, this study provides some further discussions about how to design iCAN intergrated data acquisition card based on DSP TMS320LF2407A, presents the overall designing idea, and provides the design of the hardware and software and the analysis of the way to realize iCAN protocol. What's more, This study shows the formation and function of the testing system with three practical experimental examples.All in all, this intergrated testing system consists of the basic one and the extended one, offering the methods of designing iCAN intergrated data acquisition card and three experimental examples, and providing a platform for students to learn and design hierarchically and intergratedly. Both the novelty and practicability of this testing system have been already testified by the practice. Besides, the pattern of this system can be also applied to other industry fieldbus testing systems.
