The Web Service Management Model Based On QoS

Web Service is a self-describing,modular and new distributed computing model, the adoption of open standards make web services more interoperable.Software applications shown as Web services have become a new Web application form,and how to make service discovery effectively,guarantee service reusability and composition compatibility are of greate importance to both the productivity of network software and cross-organization applications' integration.However,the current mechanism of Web services discovery has problems in service description and is lack of flexibility while finding the appropiate service.As Web services technology is being given more and more attention,more and more enterprises provide abundant services with the same or similar functionality.However, UDDI as a registry center that allows consumers to look for Web services does not catch up with the tide of diversity and abundancy and can not differentiate such relatively-same services based on their QoS information.In this paper,we study and research into the problem of Web service management and discovery.We propose a QoS-based service discovery model QSWS(QoS-based Web Servcie) and improve Web services discovery mechanism with consideration of user preferences.The theoretical analysis and experimental results desmonstrate that the model has suprior aspects in the performance of service discovery and in meeting user preferences.The contributions of this thesis include:1 Research in Web service management and discovery,propose a QoS-based service discovery model QSWS.2 Propose a new method of Web service discovery based on user preferences.The main purpose of this thesis is to research Web service management and discovery,propose a new QoS-based model and an user-preference-based discovery method.The experimental results have demonstrated some strongs points in efficiency of discovery.Our research has some good points to both theoretical and applied area.
