With the continuous development and improvement of computer networks,multimedia technology and virtual reality,How to combine the virtual reality and the network teaching and bring the superiority and the potential into full play has become a hot research topic of the current network education research and the application.How to simulate the teaching activities between teachers and students,create the realistic teaching environment and character on the network,is also the front topic which the present people pay attention.This paper has studied the network virtual teaching system's elementary theory, summarized the superiority and the manifestation of the virtual reality to apply in the network teaching.A detailed study the key technologies,the design concepts as well as theoretical basis of teaching on VRML virtual environment based on Web.In this paper,a detailed study the method of the basic functions of a virtual teaching activities as well as the modeling and the interaction control design of the VRML virtual teaching environment based on ASP.NET and the VRML.Select the curriculum "Computer-Based Education" as the content uses this system to complete the basic teaching duty,provides the powerful support for the virtual teaching system platform.Firstly take the real classroom as the object,using VRML Pad2.0,Cosmo Worlds as well as 3D Studio MAX building the modeling(multimedia classroom,screen,platform,computer,projector, blackboard and so on) and building a realistic virtual multi-media classroom.Uses VRML to carry on the description for the H-Anim standard,designs the virtual teacher.Next has carried on the interaction control design to the virtual teaching activity,Using ASP.NET to create the teaching sites which is support multi-user interaction and H-Anim standard,realizes synchronized teaching,counseling and test.In this paper combined with the VRML and ASP.NET.Using the applications of ASP.NET technology in computer-aided teaching,introduces the interactions of students into WEB system,making the studying curriculum implementation,the document submission,the Q＆A and the test are working on the network.Pay more attention to the process which in the teaching and learning,supports the sharing virtual learning environment,and also supports the dynamic,collaborative activities in teaching and learning,the teaching activity is no longer confined to the visible classroom,the teaching space and the teaching time obtained the invisible expansion.The VRML causes the student to be possible to see the vivid features model on the computer(character,environment and so on),it also can be realize the use, roaming in the virtual environment and other study-related activities.While the full guarantee teaching effect,frugal instruction costs,plays learner's main body role effectively,stimulates interest in learning,enriches the perceptual knowledge,inspires the thought,and improves the innovation ability and learning.
