As safeguard for preventing rigid crash while moving,buffer is applied to a wide range of fields such as lifting equipment,metallurgy,port machinery,rail truck etc.Since operator safety,maintenance and machine lifetime depend on its performance directly,buffer plays important roles in industry production.The sheave damper system is an important part in aircraft arresting system.It used to relieve the tension with huge peak value on cable generated by the shock wave.Aiming at technical application,the paper has studied the sheave damper system.The hydraulic buffer which is one type of cushioning products is studied in this paper.It takes effect by installing damper accumulator on buffer loop.It finishes the cushioning and restoring process by flow control valve.Aiming at practical application,the paper has discussed the application background of electro-hydraulic servo device for peak clipping and makes system change from passive control type to active control type based on the study on preceding sheave damper system.Firstly,the buffer's principle of work,species and development state are introduced.The principle of work,species,composition of hydraulic buffer system and the application of valve and accumulator in hydraulic buffer system are analyzed.Then,it takes aircraft arresting system as an example and analyzes its structure and principle of work.A mathematical model of cushioning process based on hydraulic buffer is established.After simulating the model in computer by AMESim,several important simulation curves are created.By comparing the tension on cable when sheave damper is installed in arresting system with the preceding one,it can receive a satisfactory result.At last,a fuzzy controller is designed for the system with fuzzy control method.It becomes an electro- hydraulic servo device for peak clipping after installing a servo valve based on the preceding system.To exactly simulate the integrative technique of mechanicselectronics -hydraulics of electro-hydraulic servo device for peak clipping,the modeling and simulation methods based on AMESim and Simulink co-simulation are proposed.It proves that the electro-hydraulic servo device for peak clipping is more intelligent and the range of application is larger than the one of preceding system.
