NVD(next versatile disc) player is new generation HD player, which based on red laser. Compared with blue-ray player, not only can NVD player realize same HD-play performance, but also, because of his low cost, NVD takes advantage over blue-ray player in market competition. Meanwhile, copyright protection is becoming a important problem of NVD industry. It is needed designing a copyright management system, which can match the commercial model of movies distribution and can satisfy the requirement of copyright management.Based on analyses about traditional technical measure of DVD and DRM system, a feasible design, which definition the disc as cryptograph loader, regard the key as manage object, and realize copyright management by key management, was provided. This copyright management system is a C/S system, when disc played, first, the client NVD should pray for certification, and create secure channel. Then client should collect some key information, create a certificate, and send certificate to sever by secure channel, if success, the sever should send key to client by secure channel either. Getting the key, client can decrypt and play the movies.This design refer some questions, such as secure communication by the net, encrypt arithmetic, etc. and guaranteeing the secure transfers of key between client and sever, is most important problem of them, so the method of SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) and two encryption techniques, included symmetry arithmetic and non-symmetry arithmetic were introduced in this copyright protection system.Due to separating the key from disc, about security and management, this design take advanced over traditional technical measure of DVD, This design break through the restrict of bandwidth by NVD disc, and realize cooperation with commercial model by key management...
