Research And Implementation Of Digital Reading Products Based On Copyright Protection

With the popularity of computer, network and mobile terminal products, as themain way of reading, the traditional books, magazines, newspaper reading isgradually declining. On the other way,digital reading has become more and morepopular.Two main components of digital reading is document and reader.Documenthas the advantages such as it is easy to store, convenient to transport and low cost.And reader can provide users with many convenient and particular functions, suchas searching and bookmarks. It is because digital reading has so many advantagesthat a lot of enterprises and scientific research units have adopted the digitaldocuments to store and their sore documents. As for the documents which is notencrypted, digital reading can bring you lots of convenience. But for the encrypteddocuments and property document, digital documents may cause hidden troublebecause it’s easy to duplicate and transfer. So how to keep the advantages of digitalreading and avoid loss caused by these advantages is the main problem we arefacing.Digital rights management technology(DRM) is used to solve this problem. It isa generic term of related technology field, using technical means to prevent illegalcopy and transmission of digital content. All the technologies that can prevent thedigital content belong to digital rights management technology.This paper presents a complete digital reading system for copyright protection,basing on the analyzing and research of digital rights management technology. Thesystem consists of five parts, the client, the server, the platform, the encryptionmodule and the reader. The client part mainly provides books information display,download documents, document classification, full text retrieval and information push, etc. Server part mainly provides books resources management, provide theclient with book download, receive a client request, and call the encryption moduleto encrypt the documents, etc. The platform portion provides browsing online of allthe books, books purchasing and other functions. Encryption module provides thefunction of document encryption. Reader provides document reading function, at thesame time to decrypt the document in memory.By researching and analyzing the PDF and EPUB document format, the systemgives the corresponding encryption scheme.The system uses the hardware fingerprint binding technology to bind client’shardware fingerprint information with document, making sure that the document canonly be used on the corresponding computer. It solves the illegal copying of digitalcontent and illegal dissemination effectively, and ensures the security of digitalcontentThe system can limit the reading time and reading times, making the division ofthe read permissions more carefulThe reader provided by the system can not only apply to the encrypteddocument but also can apply to these ordinary unencrypted documents, make thedocument read more convenient.
