Cold-formed thin-wall steel sections are lightweight material and suitable for building construction owing to their high structural performance and durability.There are cold-formed steel C and Z-sections using in the roof of building.We find that the continuous purlin enhance more significative load-carrying capacity and stiffness than the simple-supported purlin by study.so the continuous purlins are becoming more and more popular used.purlins are don't participate in primary structure calculation,due to it belong to subsidiary structure.At present,the continuous purlin devise by handworked or ogo experience,for this reason affect the structure of security and economy,therefore,this dissertation research and develop a kind of structure CAD systems for design continues purlin.This dissertation summarizes the general characteristic and design principle of the continuous cold-formed steel purlins(CSP) of C and Z- section and introduces domestic overseas development of the continuous cold-formed steel purlin of the C and Z-section, analyzes a variety of the factors effecting the continues cold-formed steel purlin of the C and Z-section and at the worst of load arrangement and refer to America and Canadian Institute of Steel Construction advance the worst of load arrangement and put the result in this CAD systems.Lap length is a major parameter for continues purlin design.This dissertation advance a new lap length.As part of the entire work,the software is developed based on the popular flat Visual C++6.0 by using object-oriented method.The software system makes full use of the advanced computer technology including C/C++Windows Programming,Microsoft Foundation Classes,operating visibility and graph-image programming and realize satis factory interface.CSPCAD system consists of three parts:preprocess,structural behavior calculation and post-processing.The date used by the preprocess edit for structural calculation and post-processing are formed and show the resulted by image.And continues cold-formed steel purlin at any moment further research results can be easily added to the program.In the end by example,this system has much accuracy,rationality and continues purlin advantages.
