The Research And Implemetation Of A Resource Management System Of The Capability Server Based On The Virtualization Technology

In the process of informationation currently,we find that most hardware resources of personal computes and enterprise servers have not been used effectively,which resulting in a great waste of hardware resources.In order to solve the problem,the Chinese Academy of Sciences Institute of Computing Technology put forward the idea of the capability server.The capability server can separate the computer into different parts in accordance with Moore's Law, and divide different functional components into resource pools which are available to users with the idea of girding.By building the capability server can break down the closeness of the traditional computer system,and realize the sharing of resources and sovle the waste of hardware resources.This paper will study the idea on how to manage the computing resources of the capability server efficiently and provide services for users which based on the platform of capability server. Because the capability server has combinated with the muture virtualization technology Xen,at such a scene,we must give a full consideration to the virtual machine and virtual resources management strategy.Based on the above goal,the paper will design and implement a distributed resource management framework for the capability server,through efficient resource management and scheduling strategy to achieve the sharing of internal resources of the system,also,the management system can provide a unified platform for users to manage the virtual machine and adjust the allocation of resources based on demands of users in a real-time,dynamic,transparent mode,and balance the load of diffrernt virtual machines.In addition,in order to ensure the reliability and robustness of the resource management system,we have studied the fault-tolerant mechanisms.
