Research On Activity Based Use Case Meta-Model

As developers attach more and more importance to requirement engineering,the technology of requirements engineering has made significant progress.Use case is an efficient tool for capturing requirements in UML.It describes the system behavior without revealing the system internal structure and promotes the entire software development process.However,there is no engineered approach to support use case modeling;On the other hand,there exist inconsistency in use case semantics,describing content and describing form which forbid use case to become more effective in requirement engineering.The purpose of this paper is to solve the above-mentioned problems in order to enhance the usage of use cases and the quality of requirements.It analyzes the deficiencies of current use case meta-model in UML;based on the viewpoints of relative stakeholders of use cases,analyzes the required use case structure;integrates use case meta-model and activity meta-model to form the activity-based use case meta-model; studies the description method of use case which is consistent with the process of capture and determination requirements;put forward the view that strengthening the reuse of use cases through the establishment of use cases framework and the "action block " written form;through a practical case,elaborates on the application of use case meta-model in requirement engineer especially in the stage of requirement description.
