Research And Design On Adaptation And Interoperability Of Routing Protocols In MANET

Due to the advantages such as not depending on fixed network infrastructure, having no central controlling node and strong survivability,Mobile Ad Hoc Network(MANET) plays an important part and has bright prospects both in military applications and civil areas.However,its dynamic network topology poses severe challenges to the design of routing protocols for wireless mobile ad hoc networks.Routing protocol has always been one of the hot research areas in wireless mobile ad hoc networks.The paper has focused on the research of the adaptive techniques and interoperability of routing protocols in mobile ad hoc networks and has proposed effective solutions.The major works of this paper are listed as follows:The paper studies mobile ad hoc network routing protocols deeply and analyzes the performance of a few of more typical routing protocols.Besides,the paper studies and discusses the adaptive teclmiques of routing protocols in-depth.On the basis of deep study and summary of the adaptive technologies of routing protocols,the paper points out shortcoming in current researches and proposes a context-aware multi-protocol adaptive routing scheme using cross-layer technique and carries out simulation tests on it.The experimental results show that the new scheme combines the advantages of reactive routing and proactive routing,makes nodes in network automatically run suitable routing protocol according to network load and node mobility,and the scheme has a good adaptability when the network environment has changed.ICRM,a protocol used for inter-communication between two MANETs that encounter each other geographically,is proposed in this paper,which uses the border nodes to perform the function of gateway so that two nodes from different MANETs can communicate with each other.Compared to the existing methods of using a gateway,the difference is that ICRM makes a gateway node generated on-demand and it has no complex gateway nodes election and management procedures.In addition,as the need to conduct simulation on NS platform for the researched routing protocols,the paper has analyzed and summarized the NS simulation technology.Mainly include:(1) the general process of NS simulation(2) the method of adding a new routing protocol(3) NS cross-layer simulation.
