Simulation,experiment and monitoring are important methods for structural response analyses under the deepwater environment.Firstly,the loads which apply on the structure can not be predicted accurately because of many uncertainties in the harsh environment.On the other hand,the calculated responses are different with the real responses,so that the monitoring method can provide the most intuitionistic and reliable information.It is a complementarily of simulation and experiment.There are two important aspects concerning deepwater structure monitoring:the information obtained by monitoring can be used in optimization of structure design in the future, on the other hand,monitoring is also very useful for platform operation,which means to ensure the safety of structure using real time data.In the present thesis,the monitoring system is summarized by compiling and analyses of lots of examples of deepwater monitoring data by others.Deepwater monitoring system consists of data collection,data analyses,data processing and estimate system.Base on existing technology and according to loop sense organ theory,the sensor is designed.According to experience of using acceleration sensor in fixed platform,the design course of stand-alone sensor is presented.It's proved that these sensors are feasible and reliable.
