H.264 is a high-performance video codec technology, it is a new generation of video compression standards which is developed by the ITU-T and MPEG The biggest advantage of H.264 is a high date compression ratio, in the same conditions of image quality, the compression ratio of H.264 is two times higher than MPEG-2 and two times highers than MPEG-4. Compare between MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 technology and so on, H.264 compression technology will go a long way to save the user's download time and data traffic charges. In particular, it is worth mentioning that, H.264 high compression ratio in the fluid also has high-quality images.So H.264 has a very broad application prospects in video communication.In this paper, the main contents of the study is based on the content of H.264 Adaptive Binary Arithmetic match coding (CABAC). CABAC by studying the basic principles of design to meet the following requirements of the codec: First, portability. In this paper CABAC encoding algorithm to meet the portability, that is, after the video encoder algorithm stream after encoding can be any standard codec H.264 decoding.Secondly, to improve the speed codec. The first requirement to meet at the same time, one of the purposes of this thesis is to improve the speed of standard codec, H.264 through experimental research in content-based adaptive binary arithmetic matching coding (CABAC), so that in line with the CABAC encoding process of encoding code requirements can be completed faster and better codec task.The features of H.264, the encoding and decoding of data are discussed in this paper. A deep study is made on the basic principles of the context-based adaptive binary arithmetic coding(CABAC),and the realization of algorithms is studied as well. The study focuses on the entropy-encoding and entropy-decoding schemes of CABAC: the binarization in entropy-encoding scheme, context modeling and the detailed model design of entropy-encoding and entropy-decoding are discussed. Through the experimental study of H.264 standard and Statistics found that entropy coding (CABAC) video encoding spent most of the time. In this paper, in-depth study of this issue CABAC algorithm, and first tested the algorithm to identify the coding efficiency caused by its low computing complexity and the main reason, according to three aspects of these reasons the algorithm is optimized, so that standards-based H.264 video compression encoding has been greatly reduced complexity, coding efficiency has been improved significantly.
