The surfaces of anything in nature have rich detail.Those are called surface texture. Simulation for superficial detail of things is called texture mapping technology,which is one of the important research fields in realistic computer graphics.With development and wide application of the computer technology,the reconstruction of real scene becomes a new studying field,and therefore,puts forward the conception of texture reconstruction.Texture reconstruction is to reconstruct the superficial detail of original object in computer model by collecting and mapping the surface texture of object.This paper collected and mapped the surface texture of cultural relics,then the general process of the texture reconstruction was established.This technology plays an important role in protection,reconstruction for cultural relics with computer,and has a good extensive application prospect.It simulated the bump of cultural relics with fewer polygon in the process of the bump texture reconstruction and the low-speed was avoided in roaming which caused by high precision.The technology has laid a foundation for the virtual exhibition and resource sharing of cultural relics.So more and more people can appreciate our brilliant ancient civilization by computer network and multimedia technology.It has an extensive application prospect in the establishment of digital museum.Based on the former reason,this paper presented a surface texture reconstruction method of cultural relics and discusses some key technology.The research of this paper mainly includes:Firstly,the dissertation discussed the general method of surface color texture reconstruction of cultural relics and studied deeply on the correlation algorithm of color texture collection,which included acquisition device setup,mapping relationship attainment,the best texture selection of polygon,then the surface color texture reconstruction of cultural relics was realized.Secondly,the paper emphatically studied on the bump texture reconstruction of cultural relics and put forward a bump mapping method based on elevation map.The method included extraction of elevation map and bump mapping.According to the extraction of elevation map,the paper presented a new algorithm based on point cloud slicing and data fitting.While ensuring speed,it can improve the realistic of cultural relics display by date extraction of real surface.Finally,based on above study the dissertation set up a surface texture reconstruction system for the cultural relics.Applying the language of C++ and OpenGL,we reconstructed the surface texture of teacup and validated the validity and the feasibility of the algorithm.
