Development And Application Of General Standard Parts Library For Special Fixture Based On Solid Works

Fixture is playing a very important role in machining,which influence the quality of machining,production efficiency and cost directly.Special fixture must be designed when workpiece with complex structure and size is processed.With the development of modern multi-variety and small batch production,traditional fixture design has become the bottleneck of rapid production coming-into-the-market.So enterprises cry for promoting the efficiency of designing fixture.In order to build a production preparation system supporting rapid manufacturing of production,fixture design must be reformed based on global automation.CAFD is generated for adapting to the requirement and has become the focus of international study.Through investigating,comparing,analyzing the variable CAD software and thinking about the degree of difficulty,transportability and maintainability,the 3D CAD software SolidWorks is selected as the developing platform and Visual Basic 6.0 program technique and database management technique of Access is utilized.By the secondary development function of SolidWorks API,a feature-based and parameter-driven parts library for machine tool fixture are developed.Based on that,such main works are studied in this paper.1.The development and research statement of CAFD are introduced.2.The effection on CAFD system exerted by modem design methods is analyzed,such as Rapid Design,Concurrent Design etc.The application in CAFD of Parametric,Data Management and Data Base is studied.3.Many drawings of the standardized parts and components have been drawn and the Data Base and Graphic Base are created for CASFD.4.Describing the secondary development of SolidWorks based on VB and SolidWorks API function,Generating SolidWorks menu plug-in and human-computer interaction dialog box,and seamless connection between SolidWorks and general standard parts library is realized at last.
