Because the prominent laser drilling effect and high speed laser drilling, make it widely used in industry area. This paper based on the requirements of drilling on the slice metals with high speed, analyzed theoretically and design a high repetitive rate acoustic-optical Q-switched Nd:YAG. And it is good at drilling on the 0.1mm slice metals with multiple holes, blind-holes.1 use a continue wave light-pumped Nd:YAG to achieve the high repetitive rate and high power output, we must consider the thermo-lens problem. Take a theory calculation on the average thermal focus length, and also do the experiment to measure it. According that data to establish a plain-concave thermally stabilized cavity.2 measure each threshold under different output mirror transmissivity, analyzed the relationship between output power and the optimal transmissivity. And analyzedM~2 factor of the beam.3 testified the relationship between pumping rate, diffraction efficiency of Q-switch, output pulse width, peak power, and average power. Compare the experiment data with the theory results. Analyzed the differences and optimized it then used it for drilling.
