Common Warehouse Metamodel(CWM) proposed by OMG is an interoperability standard for the data warehouse and business analysis, has become a core component of new strategic direction in model-driven architecture(MDA).In this paper, expanding the concept of dimension and operation is to make the data warehouse participate in the distributed and highly co-operative web-based computing environment. Web-based data warehouse and CWM architecture provide new dimensional and meta data structure for clickstream analysis and modeling. This article covers three main scenes of the data warehouse management, namely the operational data storage, ETL process and OLAP , specially CWM package.ITSs based on CWM track the online learning activities through the analysis of clickstream log data and get a feasibility solution of CWM. Web as a delivery mechanism in the backend of data warehouse provide a low cost media for maker to exchange of the analysis results. Now advanced analysis and reporting tools must be able to connect to the data warehouse and any relative data markets on line, including the report application software to provide special cube and characteristic cube of the OLAP sever for assumption analysis. Advanced visualization tools, formal inquiries and the browser-based client are also needed. Finally, with Shell and Java script code running on the eclipse and using the XML definition document of cube and dimension, we establish the repository for OLAP database(MDDB) in the background. Then start the cube server in the command line, input the mdx query statement to return the expected results.
