The Design And Research At Information System Used In The Teaching At Hotel Management

With the fast development of the third industry in our country,the living conditions has been improved rapidly.So hotels and restraunts are in larger demand and the comperetion in this area is becoming more and more severe. More and more talents and graduates related to this field were emploged.And the hotels and restraunts were still short at the talents and graduates.In order to meet the social demand,our college was transformed from a comercial school to the present hotel management collage successfully.The major at hotel management and the major of tourisor are the most importision majors in our college.And great efforts were given to the two majors in terms at teaching and training bases.And in the construction of training bases,an important link is the operation of managing process and system of hotels and restanrants.Becoming more and more impostest,because the students couldn't get the opportunity to operate managing software in the hotels and restraurnts.So the students could get them well trained the area with this system.In such a situation,this project is raised and approved to improve the teaching quality of our college,serve the employment and provide students more practicing chances.The project does a deep research on managing process of hotel catering industry,gives a detailed design to ordering, checking,analysis of turnover,staff management,material databases and so on.It also innovates and improves kitchen management,which makes passing orders convenient.The project makes management informationization,paperless by using LED.It applies to practical management of hotel catering as well as teaching.And it reduces unnecessary difficulties of hotel practice and expense which the college has to pay for students'practice in hotel.Using the system in hotel can make managing process easy, efficient and scientific.This article elaborates on analysing process and designing process of hotel catering system, including analysis of information streams,design of system structure,design of system function,design of databases and so on.This part of Software Technology is about development and integration of hotel system.And it discusses the construction of developing platform: Delphi7.0 for the development of front end, SQL Server 2000 for the development of back end databases and Windows XP for operating systems.It also discusses the realization of system,mainly about the realization of main function and databases,fully explaining the features and advantages of this system.
