Wireless sensor networks own many characteristics which is different from traditional networks, such as severely limited energy, topology changing frequently, etc. Therefore, specifical routing protocols are particularly important. In this paper, energy-saving routing protocol is studied and designed intensively. It is also analyzed ,then verified by experiment. Main contents are following:Firstly, this paper studied and analyzed the key technology of WSN. All kinds of routing protocols of WSN are compared and analyzed in the aspect of energy-using which include (such as: flooding and gossiping, SPIN, Directed Diffusion, LEACH,TEEN). Then the designed demands and performance index of WSN energy-saving routing protocols are present.Secondly, cluster divided routing protocols LEACH is studied intensively and hybrid options is proposed. There is a problem on choosing cluster head at random in LEACH routing protocols now. Choosing the cluster head according to the quantity of remained energy of nodes and the distance between the nodes succeeds in solving the problem of limited energy.Thirdly, Comparison has been made through the experiment result between the Leach New and the Leach routing protocols. The results show that LEACH NEW routing protocols makes the life circle of the whole network longer at low energy-using level and owns better characteristics of optimized energy.
