The use of large road maintenance machine is the sign of modernization, specialization and mechanization of railway construction. As the increasing speed of train, the railway maintenance become more and more important and also bring us the higher request to speediness, high effect and accurately of road maintenance machine. As one of the important road maintenance machine, the leveling-lifting- lining tamping machine also faces a big challenge. The tamping machine is a complicated system incorporate machine, electricity and liquid, with large amount of working parameters and the bad work environment, it is difficult to check the high rate of malfunctions, therefore the locomotive monitoring system has become the essential part of tamping machine. The electric control system of railroad tamping machine used in the homeland at present are basically analog circuit, which is complicated with high malfunction rates, also it is difficult to upgrade on line and hard to be maintained. Therefore, the demand of digitization reform is urgent. The system design objective is that the original standing circuit board controls structure to be replaced by embedded system, which realizes the digitization, modularization and Network-rization of tamping machine programming control system.According to the current situation of domestic large road maintenance machine, this paper tries to apply embedded system as the core of electrical control system which harmonize the act of system and control it base on some logical principle. Also designed the hardware system, software system and interface. Based on tradition checking system, we apply the late-model M22A series ARM industrial control module MiniARM9080 for carrying out scene real time supervisory on tamping machine, which uploads the real time working condition and the GPS data to server, display locomotive working state by the wireless network, warning to the abnormity, and accomplish history replaying function. Manipulator can know any part operation state of tamping machine at any time based on scene condition, discovering the hidden trouble in time, and avoid the happening of malfunction.At last, summarize the paper work and some suggestions are posed for future research.
