WSN (Wireless Sensor Network) is a new measure and management network technology. It is an intelligent network application system which can implement data collection, aggregation and transmission by itself. WSN has expansive application foreground in national defense and every field of national economy. As to the limited energy sensor nodes have, how to achieve high energy efficiency and assure network long lifetime is the current key problem in WSN research, which affect the development of clustering routing protocols. Clustering routing protocols can balance energy dissipation, prolong the life time of WSN by rotating cluster head. Cluster-based routing protocols exceles in network topology management, energy minimization, data aggregation and so on, it has become one of the most hotspots of researches on WSN.This thesis studies the clustering algorithm based on hot spot's problem, meanwhile, proposes a scheme referred to a cluster-based Quality-of-Service routing via multi- paths in WSN.(1) In model of multi-hop wireless sensor networks, if a cluster head is more close to the base station, it will have much more transmitting tasks, therefore the closer one will consume much more energy. This thesis proposed an Energy-Balanced Clustering Protocol in Different Zones for wireless sensor networks(ECDZ). Clusters closed to the base station have a small size, and more cluster heads be produced closer to the base station. Simulation results show that ECDZ efficiently solve the "hot spot" problem. Meanwhile multi-candidate cluster heads keep the cluster structure to save the frequent cluster infrastructure energy costs in balancing nodes' energy costs as well as extending the lifetime of the network.(2) This thesis proposes a scheme referred to a cluster-based Quality-of-Service (QoS) Routing via Multiple Paths in WSN that provides QoS-sensitive routes in a scalable and flexible way in wireless sensor networks. In the strategy, each local node just only maintains local routing information of other clusters instead of any global ad hoc network states information. It uses clustering's hierarchical structure diverse to decrease routing control overhead and improve the networks scalability, the performance of the protocol is evaluated and the result shows that this protocol can provide an available approach to QoS multi-path routing for wireless sensor networks. In the end, it is the conclusion of the thesis and the prospect for the future research.
