As an important method to assure software quality,software test is very important in the software lifecycle.Some studies indicate that the earlier the bugs of software are discovered,the lower software programming costs,the higher the quality of software is and the lower the maintenance costs after software releases.The software industry generally considers that,besides the technique of software test,a good and mature software test process can assure the efficiency of software test, thereby ensuring the quality of software products.Software measurement is very important in research of software engineering.It's an effective way to improve software process.Through the measurement of software process,it can make the process be standardized and visualization.Through anglicizing measurement data,it can know the efficiency and problems of the process. Through tracking measurement information and monitoring process conditions,it can provide decision support for process management and reduce the risk of process. Therefore,through introducing software measurement into the software test process, we can assure the efficiency of software test process,finally improve the quality of software products.CMMI provided by the Software Engineering Institute of Carnegie Mellon University,Capability Maturity Model Integration,is a successful and widely used model of software process improvement.As it is known,software test and software measurement is an integral part of software process.So the CMMI includes a series of process areas to support software test process and software measurement.And the process areas can be used alone by the software organization in the Continuous Representation of CMMI.MA is close connection to software measurement.GQ(I)M is also provided by the Software Engineering Institute of Carnegie Mellon University,Capability Maturity Model Integration.It is based on GQM.It introduce indicator into the middle of Q and M.The indicator is used to make Q contact with M and direct what to collect,how to deal with the data and make plan for the actions.The dissertation applies the process areas of CMMI correlate with software test and software measurement includes its support framework,practical guidance, process analysis,and GQ(I)M to research the software test process measurement. There're three studies of the dissertation in the following. ①Based on the advantages of existing software test process model,software measurement and CMMI,the dissertation presents CMMI4STP based on CMMI.②The dissertation analyzes the special attributes of software test process and provides the test process measurement information,base measurement,derived measurement and indictor.③We develop a software test process measurement tool named STPMT in.NET.
