During the early development of the software industry to current large-scale software development process, software quality metrics have become an integral part of development. With the increasing scale of the software,software quality problem has become more prominent, which may result in some unimaginable things as follows, the delivery of the software are delayed,the software development costs increased, and the use of the software products reduced significantly. Hence, how to improve the quality of the software development process and then improve the quality of the software products has become a hot issue that need to be figured out right now. And the metrics of the software process quality is an effective way to solve this problem. This thesis mainly studies the metric model and methods of software process quality from the topic of the background and siginificants, which also bases on the CMMI and Software Metric Theory.It mainly introduces the basic concepts of the Software Process Quality and Software Metric, gives the quality factors of the software Process, main process of the Software Metric and relative data analysis techniques and has analized the existing of the software quality metrics which can make us find out the inadequacy of the existing quality model.On the basis of the in-depth study of the Software Metric Theory and CMMI Theory, the quality metric model of software process based on CMMI has been come up with the general characteristics of the key process areas of CMMI has been analized, correspondingly the mapping relations of the quality metric model of software process and the general characteristics of the CMMI process areas, and then educed nine quality factors in the software process quality. Then on the basis of anslysis of software quality factors, this research decomposed the educed quality factors and proposed proper quality measurement approaches in the programming process.In the end, the relevant data of the six projects in the software company was collected through software process quality metric model and software quality process measurement. It first examined the defects in the quality factors and the service quality. From the above analysis and measurement, the disadvantages in the programming process were found thus the improvement advices could be given. Then this research measured the process quality in the six projects'phases and the stability genes in the post software programming. It found that the stability gene in the post programming period was positively related to the process quality in the demanding period with the help of data processing software.It can be drawn from the experiment result that the measurement proposed in this thesis was effective to examine the software processing quality and was helpful to guide the improvement of programming process. Consequently, the effective approach to ensure the final product's quality could be supplied through the above efforts.
