With the development of computer technology, the way of original handmade drawings in mine hasn't satisfied needs of modern information. For the intelligentzed and complication of modem mine design, people can't be satisfied with two-dimensional drawings. Therefore, it makes the simplex two-dimensional drawings based on CAD turn to the direction of 3D intelligent designing, dynamic emulation, geometrical sculpting, curving sculpting and solid sculpting. At the same time, the 3-dimensional modeling theories and technologies have been received with enormous progress.For the sake of the development of information and automatization, realizing the mine continuable development, improving the rate of using resource, the digital mine must be popularized. According to reconstructing information and betaking the technologies of digital mine, it transforms the tradition mining including managing pattern, organizational frame, mining technics and policy-making.In Feng Huang Shan Copper Mine, the ore body between -360m and -240m has been exploited, but it leaves coping and base of jamb, distant jamb, punctuate jamb and minerals at the end of ore bodies. Due to the complex geological conditions, ore body is interspersed by other rock and its stability is undermined, together with the laneway above -180m is in varying degrees of damage, which brings a big security risk to engineers and technicians. The leaving ore is distributed scatteredly, its shape and subsistent condition is bad, so calculating reserves and space showing is difficult. Since some thirty years, the way of production is complex, the date is big, and the date is more important to production, but original drawing isn't satisfying to mine production. Owing to the increased difficulty of residual ore mining and requiring a higher technological means, leadership and technical staff the information platform for the precise design, scientific management and decision-making. For these reasons, the research on 3D modeling technology of Feng Huang Shan Copper Mine provided the decision-making platform of resolving residual mineral exploited and production design.The paper firstly analyzed 3D visual modeling technologies, domestic and international research and development, discussed the theory of deposit modeling technology, mastered the basic principles of geostatistics. According to production, establish the way of research of 3D visual modeling technology. Based on geology and Datamine, the paper analyzed and studied the pivotal technologies of 3D modeling to obtain the results which provided an important platform for the mine design, production and decision-making.The paper reads as follows. 1. According to drillhole cylindrical profile, through data analysis and processing, gelolgical database of Feng Huang Shan Copper Mine is established. It achieved the features such as database query, modify and real-time updates. Cobinate the drillhole sample and the length of combination is 2.52m. Then analyse the original drillhole data and combinatorial data. Based on the results, see six percent as high-grade value and transformate the number between 0.3 and 0.6 percent, make it in line with normal distribution. At last sample mean 0.85 and the variance 1.271 are obtained. Use combinatiorial data, choose spherical model as theoretical model and fit optimally the trial variogram model in three directions. Variogram parameters (Nugget, Sill, Range) are gained. Further theoretical variogram parameters are on cross-validation. In a significant leval ofα=0.05, the hypothesis H0 is accepted. Therefore there 95% convinced that the eatimation error is 0, which proved that the choice of the theory variogram model is rational, the variogram parameters are correct. It can be used as follow-up grade valuation and reserves calculation.2. The method and key of 3D ore body solid modeling are studied. Disposal of original data is the key of modeling and affect its quality. The part analyzed the technology of data disposal and ore body modeling, reserves estimation, extraction of slices in any orientation. In the part, construct four main ore model above -360m, 2# ore modeling below -360m and all sporadic ore model. Techniques and methods of 3D mining model are studied. The 3D mining modeling is divided into model of underground mining and open pit model. The model of underground mining includes mine tunnel model, mined-out area model, column model and shaft model. The mined-out area model is complex, which impacts on reserves calculation.3. The paper studied in-deeply technology of block model, grade evaluation and reserves calculation. Establishment of the scope of block prototype model, the size of unit block, the form and radius of search are the key of block modeling and grade evaluation. Using Kriging method and IDW(Inverse distance weighted method), calculate mineral reserves.3D visual modeling of Feng Huang Shan Copper Mine doesn't offers policy-making platform for ore bodies being exploited, but also alters the actuality of handmade or CAD two-dimensional drawings which will be instead of 3D solid model. It could achieve quickly and efficiently the functions of slicing arbitrary profile of ore body, automatically creating mining plans and calculating reserves.It is a major innovation for research on 3D visual modeling technologies of Feng Huang Shan copper mine. The 3D solid model of ore body reflects visually occurrence of each element of mine and offers engineering drawings and technical information fast, efficiently and accurately. It supplies an important referenced platform for establishment of mine production and decision-making to delineate arbitrarily ore body model and realize the dynamic calculation of reserves. It displays its important guiding significance on the actual production. Accomplishment of the topic changed the traditional mining operations, enhanced the decision-makers of the mine management, and increased the cost-effectiveness. Therefore it takes a major step in digital, information and automation of Feng Huang Shan Copper Mine.
