Based on summarizing the application status of three-dimensional geological modeling and GIS in the geology and mineral resources, this paper points out it is important to build different levels systems for different users. Three dimensional mine modeling based on GIS is divided into three application modes, further, a needs analysis and a clear system function is determined. The author adopts the principle of least squares to analyze the interpolation result, to determine which interpolation method applicable to a certain geological model and data distribution. What is more, the author discusses a half-intellgent select schema which "based on papameter" chooce interpolation method. Local3D-raster structure based on3D-vector is put forward for the practical application of geology and mineral The author considers that the modeling approach is difficult for the expression of the three-dimensional non-uniform field of geology and mineral, therefore, proposes "volume function model based on3D-vector frame" for the expression of the three-dimensional non-uniform field of geology and mineral and builds a complete theory of the volume function model. A new three-dimensional visualization method whichi is called "mouse dragging dynamic3cross profiles". Most os these method are programing inplemented and used in "Geo-engineers3D Assistant" software...
