Design And Implementation Of Product Processing Information Traceability System

There is an increasing concern about food security among consumers. Manufactures want to know where their products go and consumers want to trace the origins of goods they buy, both of which are to confirm reliability, security and quality of products. By introducing product traceability system, most countries have made efforts to enhance the standard of food security. Now, product traceability has evolved from basic usage of ingredients to a whole procedure which involves production, distribution, etc.Processing is among the system a most important part to identify and trace the product, which correlates supply chain of raw material and products sales. This paper exemplifies with pork traceability system. According to national agricultural environment, the system achieves the traceability with product identification technology in the information link during slaughtering, splitting and packaging. This paper mainly concerns with:①Exemplifying with pork, this paper proposes analysis and design of a traceability system on the whole, and an information flow model of pork processing by combination of Petri network theory and traits of pork procedure. Thus, identification and product entities form an entire information link, which brings support to further system analysis and design of software system.②The system uniformly identifies production entities within the standard of EAN UCC and is specialized for pork traceability. With RFID and barcode technology, auto-identifying, auto-data-collecting, and auto-data-entering become available for traceability and identifying of product entities in a traceability system.③The paper proposes an approach for processing information traceability system. by analysis of pork processing, we establish a traceability information linkage, analyze the information linkage identification in the system processing and information management and information collection. Thus, we establish a information framework meeting the demand with traceability database.The traceability system is based on the project: The Design and Application of Pork Security Information Traceability System, which is already implemented and verified in a food processing company in Chongqing. Tests show that the system meets the demand in real circumstances.
