The Analysis Of The Construction Of News Reports

From the perspectives of Sociology and Communications, using the survey of In-depth Interviewing and Literature research, this study will profoundly discuss the constructional processes of the news reports, which it is based on an post-investigation of a news report—'Caring Mother', and through comparison between the actual events and the verity of news reports, aimed at providing a new analysis of research.The focus on four aspects: First, the comparative analysis of the objective facts and news reports. Second, the constructional ways of the news report , and analysis the reason combined with social background . Third, the influence of news reports on the audience's view. Forth, to further discuss the factor and effect of the construction of the report. The results show that, through the in-depth survey, the news reports distinctively differ from the objective facts which have been acclaimed in the reports. News reports embellished the text of a news event's description involving the government and any social assistance to make the headlines perfect. Namely, news reports forged the paragons and heroes which distorted the truth and made the opposite influence of recognition in civilian's heart.Based on these conclusions, this thesis provides further analysis and speculations on the constructional processes of news reports, and recognizes that the "consensus" is the premise of such construction. The condition is social background, including the political environment and the business environment of news media. In addition, the author attempts to discuss the power relations the effects of the construction.
