In certain important scopes,high reliable electrical devices are needed . These devices can be examined though a series of experiments. So the supporting testing equipment becomes indispensable, therefore PC's application lead us an open road to testing equipment.This subject came from practical application in factory, developed automatic testing equipment for static parameters of high reliable optical couplers based on IPC (Industrial Personal Computer).First of all, brief introduction about the subject source, meaning and research purpose.Secondly, detailed explanation concerning the testing method and principle for testing optical couplers. Meanwhile, involves in hardware and software design. On the aspect of hardware, focus on the selecting of IPC and cards; the design of power card; the design of signal processing circuit and home-made parts. On the aspect of software, emphasize on the major program under C-language development; testing program; saving data program and so on.Finally, general comments and overview has been given.The automatic testing equipment has been certified by authorized Bureau, and kept running in good condition, since put into production line.
