At present, China's mobile communications market, the individual end-products are the mainstream of GSM mobile phones. However, with the number of mobile users with the sharp increase, GSM mobile radio system exposed the problem is a major problem. Such as decreased sensitivity to receive signals, cell phone transmitting power deviation from the normal range, error rate, phase error, and so large. At present, mobile phones and the appearance of an increasingly diverse, the size is getting smaller and smaller, mobile radio frequency circuit layout has also brought greater challenges.This article first for GSM mobile radio-frequency signal processing and RF circuit theory study. On this basis, further to analyze the structure of the wireless transceiver. The paper analyzes three sorts transmitter, IF/RF up-conversion, Zero IF up-conversion and OPLL up-conversion.Accoding to GSM specification, come out the the transimitter and receiver sub-module design requirements. The followe key issues is covered, the transmitter power, power control, frequency and phase error, the transmitting power vs. time mask, spurious spectrum, the sensitivity of receiver as well as the antenna performance, and put forward the design requirements of radio frequency modules.Finally, with regard to the design of the radio frequency module several key part of a detailed analysis of the design.The RF technology and solution of this paper have been used in the more than million terminals. So it's rational to believe this paper is valuable for mobile phone RF circuit design. The future, RF and BB will be one CMOS die, 3G/2G dual mode also will be one chip to realize all the function . But all new technology will bring new issues, such as the antenna design for multi-mode phone and optimize the PA performance of CDMA phone. These issues will be deeply study in the future.
