The Development Of The LED Picture And Character's Information Display System

Along with the progress of the society and the development of science and technology, especially in the 21st century, human society gradually into the information age, along with the development of modern education technology which using the computer technology as the core technology is becoming more and more profoundly changes our lives and production, work and study way, information has become into the important resources in today's society. Development the public information service platform in today's society has important realistic meanings. Especially in the college teaching management, the teaching management departments need regular to release a large amount of information to teachers and students, to maintain the normal teaching in order. Using the traditional way of blackboard and billboards posted there has obviously deficiencies. In order to solve this problem, this paper design a LED display system, by the control software which installed on the PC can realize the edit and update of the information, and through the corresponding communication circuit to release information timely shows in different positions installed in the school, by which can satisfy the school information's release and update.At present, the LED information display screen in daily life in a wide range of applications, but most expensive and usually just using single display on display. The design of the system can realize multiple screen display, and develop the special application software can be conveniently the school educational administration person to show and update the the information's need, high cost performance and convenient to use.This paper introduces the LED display system's working principle and realization method,and complete the design of the hardware and software.The hardware parts adopt the AT89C51 as the main control chip and also enlarge the RAM and other peripheral component machine parts, using the RS-485 bus to connect many display screens together in the loop topology structure, can achieve more information on the display screens .The software using the Visual Basic as the development language and using the relevant plug-in to design the control system of LED display system of pictures and characters, and using the MSComm to realize the serial communication with the computer . It expounds the theoretical basis and the key technology of the system, then put forward the integral design scheme of the system on the basis of them accordingly.The third chapter, LED display system hardware design and realization. The performance of the whole system, and briefly discussed further perfecting the system improved.Based on the theory of modern communication, character coding theory, serial communication technology, make word-model extraction technology, analyzed the principle of information LED display and design methods, and from two aspects of hardware and software design of the system. This system can be easily realized using information updates and release, and can satisfy the basic teaching information release in universities demand. As this system can be applied in need often released to the public information of government, bank, the department has wide application and development prospect of space.
