With the more and more attention of people to the safe problem, videosurveillance system can effectively monitor important places, and realize unattendedterrible conditions at the same time, so video surveillance system are widely be used.The current development of the system takes the form of even digital,networking,intelligence.The aim of this thesis is to construct and realize a set of C/Sarchitecture of the intelligent monitoring system used the multimedia digital signalprocessor TMS320DM642based on the motion detection and tracking improvedalgorithm of video objects. This system can complete a16channels setting and show4channels images at the same time. It can deliver two video streams—one in H.264and one in YUV.This project includes improved intelligent algorithm, DSP hardwareand software realization, and PC client soft realization, the idiographic work is asfollows:1. This paper proposed a new object detecting algorithm. Analyzed advantagesand disadvantages of the optical flow method, inter-frame difference method andbackground subtraction method, a new method combining inter-frame difference andbackground-difference is put forward. And according to the degree of illuminationchange to background update, we finally use a illumination change-related automaticthreshold for binarization.2. A novel moving objects tracking algorithm is proposed. First, we analyze theadvantages and disadvantages of traditional MeanShift algorithm. Then an improvedalgorithm is proposed based on the idea of blocking color histogram.Adopted twodecomposed method(upper and lower parts、left and right parts) to divide the object,the latest target position is respectively obtained, then take an average to improve theaccuracy of matching. In this algorithm, the Bhattacharyya coefficient betweencorresponding sub-blocks is used to adjust the weight, to make two correspondingblocks which have a greater similarity can assigning a greater portion. Theexperimental results show that the tracking performance than traditional algorithm issignificantly improved.3. Realized hardware construction and software development of DSP. In thesystem,TVP5150hardware drive mode is adopted to collect video, and H.264codingis adopted to compress video streaming, and DSP/BIOS operating system is adoptedto realize multi-tasking operation.4. Realized the client software development. GUI, realized with VC++language,is used to client communication with server. In addition, the SQL databasemanagement system is written based on Sever2005,which can store the video dataand support playback of stored video. To facilitate the conduct of video informationand user information queries and add and delete and so on. 5. The DM642is connected to the PC through the network, to build a integratedvideo surveillance system.
