Compared with traditional materials, composite materials have features of high strength, low intensity and better corrosion resistance, and are widely used in astronautic industry, chemistry industry and sporting equipments. Whereas it is difficult to measure the thickness of the enwrapping product in its manufacturing process, therefore it is with practical significance to develop a non-contact, on-line detect instrument with fairly high precision.As an important non-contact thickness-measuring technology, the laser triangle method is widely used in industrial controlling producing and automation producing. The development history of thickness-measuring technique was reviewed in this paper. According to the theory of traditional photoelectric optical triangle method, the PSD (Position Sensitive Detector) was used as photo-electricity converter, through specified circuit processing, then the on-line thickness-measuring system for Enwrapping Product can be realized.The main content of this paper included:Firstly, PSD was introduced in this paper. As a photovoltaic device, PSD is widely used in many aspects because of its advantages of high speed, high resolution, simple signal processing. A one-dimensional comb PSD was used as a detector of system in this paper. Based on it, thereafter, the project of measuring system was put forward.Secondly, the design of optical system was brought forward in the paper, and the step of the optical system's design was detailedly calculated, and then the mechanical design project of optical system was realized.Thirdly the signal disposed circuit, data collection circuit, and communication circuit was analyzed, modular organizational structure was also designed based on MCU, the measurement repeatability was improved and then automatic test system was realized.Fourthly, the measurement error and all kinds of ingredient which had influenced the experimental system were analyzed, and experimental system was calibrated, then the feasibility of the method which was proposed in the paper was demonstrated.
