Research And Implementation Of Videoconference Based On H.323 Protocol

With the development of network, user's demand on network changes persistently. Multiple endpoints video conference based on IP network has been ideal choice of remote conference system because of it's lower cost and more advantage. Video conference has improved rapidly in practice and been used widely in military affairs, economy and culture. The function has developed from the simple Video Conference to integrated services such as remote learning system, remote monitoring system and remote medical system etc, video conference will be in a new development generation. In video-conferencing which has been widely used is H.323 standard made by the ITU. Compared to other standard, video conference system designed based on H.323 standard is more mature-developed, interconnectible, economical and used more widely.In this paper, the standard H.323 and H.323 video conferencing system structure are studied. Specifically the system protocol stack, physical, communication, conference control and management are analyzed in detail. As the prototype of multi-point video conferencing, OpenH.323 supporting the H.323 protocol has been studied. Base on the library files that are got by experiment, system and related modules of ITU-T H.323 multi-point video conferencing have been designed and implemented, and they are also according with the standard of H.323 protocol. The interaction of orders and real-time data transmission between the terminators of video conferencing within the local area network can be realized. The system adopts a centralized architecture, and uses C/S model as a way to provide an intuitive and convenient user interface.At last, the extension of the system function has been discussed; the development of video conferencing is also summarized. In this paper, the study of video conferencing adapts to the current development and updating of science and technology and has practical value.
